I actually finally finished the storyline last night. As with BotW, I spent hours upon hours just doing everything but the main story, cause it’s all so engrossing.

If you can pace yourself, and you should pace yourself so the game doesn’t feel overwhelming, you could really start the game now and have plenty of it left when you move to the land of spotty internet.

For so long, the series had lacked, in my view, any recognizable shred of real exploration...

I have the game but I haven’t started playing it yet, which is driving me mad. I’m moving to a new country in a few months where my internet will be spotty so I’m saving the game for that time, but boy, I just want to dive in.

Reviews like this one show how good it was for Kotaku to ditch scores all those years ago.

Well written. I’m looking forward to finishing this game sometime in the next few weeks.

I don’t. I was just going along with the theme of Octo’s post.

Crushed? No.

I’ll subscribe to the one who does a stream-a-thon to raise money for the families of the tourists on the Titan.

She literally said that herself. She acknowledged “living your morals” is a privilege, and she doesn’t begrudge small streamers getting their bag. But xQc, Amo, and her are all multimillionaires. All of them can afford to not take the money of an obvious front for a shady gambling scheme. That’s exactly her point.

I, for one, would be extremely interested to know how Kick can give hundreds of millions of dollars to star streamers if their revenue split is as famelic as 5/95.

Yes 2 am Mario RPG for weeks

The Axem Rangers... SUCH a product of the 90s Power Rangers zeitgeist.

The only thing that disappointed me in the trailer is that we didn’t get a look at those sweet bastards at the top of Barrel Volcano.

So fucking excited!! Just sent the whole family a group text with the news!! Letssa go!!!

It’s literally an HD version of the original game’s art.  I love it.

My favorite thing is Capcom didn’t have to put all this work into it, all they had to do was make a good fighting game.  They did better than good, AND made a surprisingly in depth customization system for character looks and moves...

I’d venture a lot of the viewers are kids too, or at least teens. I don’t allow my kids to watch YouTube unsupervised in my house, but my 11 year old has lots of friends who don’t live in houses with that rule, and almost all of them want to be streamers, it’s wild.

Ads, subcriptions, and para-social relationships. I’d bet the vast majority of people don’t sit at a computer and watch a stream all day, but instead have it on a secondary device (tablet, phone etc) while doing other stuff. It’s basically Youtube to an extent, only everything is live.

Thank you for making your way through that word salad that was my post.

“reasonable conservatives” is my concern in that analysis.
