Damn, this is a blast from the past. I’d love another whirl in Monkey Island three decades since I first played the game. Is it wrong to ask for this on the Switch? It’s just so convenient :)
Agreed, but let’s not blame “centrists.” I’m a progressively leaning centrist (like a Joe Biden or Bill Clinton) and don’t subscribe to any of those in the least. I’m full-feminist, full-BLM, and could care less about the “freedom of speech” argument. Donated $1,000 to the National Network of Abortion Funds and a…
Oh jeez, you are old :) I suppose it’s a matter of personal preference and general gaming experiences then (of which, we both probably have many over the decades).
How “old” are you though? I started gaming in the 8-bit NES generation (having brushed upon the Atari one) and spent most of my formative years in the 16-bit SNES/Genesis generation before graduating to the 32-bit PSX/Saturn to round out a majority of my teenage years.
Good for them. More companies should take this approach.
Exactly. If you’re going to consider Mario 64 (or even many of its successors) open world, then Sonic Adventure is too.
Yep. Even Sega nailed it with Sonic Adventure for Dreamcast years ago. Why they insist on this generic, devoid-of-personality, glorified tech demo is beyond me.
Maybe they’re working with some advanced earth-shattering AI that can not only create procedurally generated worlds, but also create unique characters along with different backstories, motivations, and quests :)
As long as there’s a photo mode where you cat can go loaf mode on various objects, then we’re good.
Jesus... the temptation is real. We all know these are digital assets that will be gone once the game sunsets, but still insist on spending a fortune to have the best possible units. I guess everything is fleeting, but still...
Yeah, gatcha games are VERY successful at exploiting people. I consider myself to have decent self-control when it comes to traditional gambling (if I go to Vegas, I have $200 in my pocket to play with win or lose), but when you add cool unit assets and people’s love/nostalgia for a particular property/setting (e.g.,…
haha, no worries! Deku DLC confirmed??
Damn, when this popped up on my “You may also like” sidebar, I thought it was a new My Hero trailer ::crying emoji::
lolol, well, when you put it like that...
Perfect.
Dude, I’m an adult. This guy thinks I have time and motivation to play 4-5 games SIMULTANEOUSLY?? I could barely juggle TWO games in my videogame prime.
Ah, you are absolutely right. My mistake. I don’t know how to describe it, but the *visual direction is very reminiscent of various darker first-person shooters (i.e., Gears of War comes to mind without such hulking characters), which IMO doesn’t match what I’d envision next-gen Final Fantasy looking like.
Appreciate this. It looks okay, but I just can’t really get into Final Fantasy since they went the Unreal Engine (or whatever it is) route. It’s lost all its character (from an aesthetic viewpoint). This game may as well be any generic JRPG with Final Fantasy assets now. May very well end up turning out okay (or even…
The open world looks a bit amateurish (at least in terms of character animations), but the actual fighting gameplay looks amazing!
