The question is, do we trust Square Enix to do a Chrono sequel justice? I suppose the Dragon’s Quest games they’ve put out have charm and are quite good, but anything short of a masterpiece would be a letdown and tarnish CT’s legacy. I’m not sure they can do it.

I was massively disappointed in Cross. Convoluted with very little of the charm of CT (one of my top 3 games of all time, if not #1). I suppose it was not bad/good taken on its own merits, but a HUGE letdown for anyone expecting anything akin to CT2.

Maybe down the road once he’s done several things to redeem himself and demonstrated a commitment to truly being better. That’s exactly what I was going to say. In a world where so many people double-, triple-, and quadruple-down on their ignorant comments and selfish actions (e.g., the Ice Poseidon story from yesterday), this is the most refreshing and humble thing I’ve seen in a long time.

Now you know haha and even though the show has aged fantastically, imagine how transcendent it was back in the day. That show does deserve every single bit of hype it got. It’s easily a Top 10 TV series of all time for me and probably top 3 tbh.
