See, I was so down for KHI, and I enjoyed it, too! They nailed the character interactions, like you said, but when they kept introducing new characters with silly names to serve as motivations for other characters from previous games, eh. I found myself not caring, and maybe that's my own damage. I can't wait until we

Lots of people playing Assasin's Creed this weekend. Funny. I'm finishing up Brotherhood before heading into Revelations.

No, he has. He was in the back-up for the Justice League series.

I don't know. Isn't a well-known rule of writing fiction that the first line should grab the reader? I get that there are exceptions to the rule, especially in many, many of the classics, and that's why the book example doesn't exactly work either. Games are interactive, and you're investing a lot more time playing

My cousin lent my Assasin's Creed: Brotherhood, and it was in that same box.

Downloading this as soon as I can get to my laptop. I'm terrible at RTS games, and I'm broke so I never bothered to get this when it first came out. Buuuuut I also have a policy to try any game Valve produces. So, this is perfect.

Crud! I'd completely forgotten the Fujiko anime had aired. Definitely catch both this and that. I haven't watched anime in over a year, but this seems like the perfect season to catch up on what I've missed.

I hadn't even noticed that. That's hilarious. I guess that makes my intentionally Bizzaro-esque reply even more appropriate.

Odd. I'm now more confident in their vision than I was before.

The word rape implies an unpleasant, unwanted domination of one person by another.

Yeah, rumor has it "The Competitor" that was mentioned by the Kroloteans a while back is The Reach. I don't mind the focus on Beetle, though. He's one of my favorite characters. Just wish he was a little more easy-going than he has been, but what can you do?

Personally, I'm grateful for the 5 year time-jump because the middle of season one was, er, middling. They finally found their stride around the last four episodes of that season, and they've been on a roll ever since.

Stuff like this makes me realize that I wish the Young Justice universe was the main DC Universe. They've managed to condense years and years of continuity into a streamlined little package that can still manage to be fun at times. It would be the perfect way to get new readers. Oh well.

I hated Damian so very, very much when he first appeared, but Morrison, Tomasi and Snyder have managed to create a compelling character in him. Everything about his upbringing screams "Future Bad Guy; World Conqueror Class," but he's fighting every impulse he has in order to be the son he feels Bruce Wayne needs or

Ah, drinking games. I am so bad at you, but you continue to always be fun in the right setting. Playing board games drunk with a bunch of my friends is never not a good time. Don't really drink much anymore, but I'd consider buying a six-pack or two for this game.

That so? I should have figured as much. How bad is the adaptation decay from what I'm assuming the order is: light novel > anime > manga > game?

Why is this sim in particular popular? If the designs were anything spectacular then maybe I could understand the appeal, but what is it about these characters that makes the Japanese so willing to attempt "wooing" them? I actually read some of the manga a little bit ago to try and figure this out (down thread people

Then there are the women who are genuinely groped by random people and don't know how to react. I guess when you're used to a culture wherein this happens frequently some people are bound to take advantage in order to stay sane, or sociopathic depending on your view.

Is it weird that my favorite part of this was how more or less controlled the guys round bursts were? Felt like he was actually aiming before shooting.

If this track was attached to any other game or show I would be so psyched to play or watch it. The dissonance between what I'm seeing on the screen and the song is too much. I guess it's because the aesthetic is clearly medieval fantasy but the song sounds way too modern - an artistic choice which isn't bad in itself
