I am usually weary of any piece of media where a man writes about a woman’s experience. It just often times either exploitative, tone deaf, or fetishistic.

Back in the early aughts, Tokyopop (I think) did a contest to find the biggest otaku in America, and the guy who won wrote an article called something like The Failings of Anime, and hoo boy did that go over well.
