Agreed. More FF but there’s a million games that aren’t FF7. There are plenty of characters who aren’t swordsmen. Why not Sabin? Or Kain? How about Kefka? Hell, Wakka could be fun. Sephiroth is all hype.

My union dues per year comes out to maybe 1/3 of one week’s pay. Nowhere near as high as anti-union movements would have people believe.

I picked this game up on a whim and it was really great. There were moments that genuinely scared me, and I am pretty desensitized.

I’d argue that it’s not subverting expectations but rather hitting the same beats as the last two movies.
