Heterosexual Nonsense: The tv show
Heterosexual Nonsense: The tv show
Not trying to compare the quality of the two; just saying this game evokes a feeling of “Epic fun” that I don’t remember having on PC since the whole ME series
Really dude? lol. Let me just quote one thing (of many) from CDPR pre release promotion.
Meh. Until (unless?) they address the vast gap between what they offered and what they delivered with regards to open-world RPG gameplay, addressing bugs won’t fix the problems with the game.
The funny bit to this whole thing is that “PC Master Race” meme doesn’t even work for this game lol. Sure you might luck out and have a relatively good experience, but even people like crowbcat who are running it on a god machine (RTX3090) are experiencing massively horrid experiences.
People who think this game is going to have a big turnaround are going to be very disappointed I suspect. They will eventually get the bugs ironed out (not quickly at this rate) but the biggest problem is that it’s just a really shallow game where like half the stuff doesn’t really matter.
That’s a very punk thing of them to do.
To quote Marblekid in his post that at the moment directly follows yours:
It’d be great to see SNL hosting alum and Dan’s on screen parents Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara show up, with their sketch comedy chops and all... As long as it’s not a tacky Schitt’s Creek reunion thing
Also hounding someone on their personal stream to add features to the game they work on (even features we can all agree are features they should add), is the sort of entitled fan behavior Kotaku sometimes spotlights as bad, no? (Again, this developer handled it extremely poorly and I’m not condoning his response.)
Unfortunately I don’t think the people in question have any say in the matter. Often times it’s something that gets passed down from management, and the grunts have to take it or risk being seen as not wanting to do work.
Eh, he doesn’t seem like the nicest of guys but not everyone can be in PR mode all day every day. He didn’t drop a F-Bombs or go after anyone, he just said what’s on his mind after being ticked off. This is the equivalent of a dad screaming at his kids on the car ride to Disneyland.
He is, but I will say that the game has an extremely vocal community of people who ask for the SAME THINGS over and over again in response to any social media post, during streams, etc., at all, and I can see how that might cause someone to lose patience with it over time, particularly if they’re trying to run a…
There had been a really strange “rivalry” of sorts emerge between fans of Mass Effect and the Witcher in the late aughts, two IPs that really had nothing in common other than a (false) promise that your decisions would shape the narrative.
There’s a certain blind loyalty to CDPR that has been around for almost a decade, but still manages to keep surprising me. Just this sense of ‘CDPR can do no wrong and just wait for this to become that masterpiece’.
It’s still important that this stuff gets called out, because a lot of people are either in denial about it or don’t care. Hell, I’ve seen comments here blaming the devs for the bugs and delays.
My brother bought CP2077 for XB1, and I have a Series X. So he played it, and, hilarious graphical errors aside (there were so many of them) he really, really liked it. Played through to the end three times to see all the outcomes.
Yeah, pretty much everything he revealed was common sense. Developers crunching on a highly-anticipated AAA game? Check.
Yes!
He’s done stories like this for Rockstar (RDR2) and Naughty Dog, too? Him exposing this stuff can only help. And how did you come to realize all those things were “common sense”? Probably from developers or reporters like Schreier speaking out.
