Adding to the excellent points from others in the comment section, I just want to add that I’m really disappointed at the tone of this piece. Jezebel is about empowering women, giving us information, and understanding the daily trials that society and the patriarchy throw at us. Or did this kind of mission change?

There’s a lack of scientific evidence because science has never bothered to look into the matter before. There’s no evidence either way. Be wary of wellness culture and the consumerism involved, but don’t dismiss women’s claims that hormonal birth control wasn’t great for their mental health just because no one’s yet…

It’s nothing new. Standard cognitive dissonance, based around a fragile core identity. When your whole self-image is sunk into being the smart, unique individual who sees things the sheeple can’t, you reject any pesky thoughts that conflict with that self-image. 

Shotwell really is a big part of SpaceX’s success. The press overlooks her role in it all far too easily. (and like you, I’ve been trapped in the greys for a decade here)

Okay so I haven’t made a comment in like 2 years because I never got out of the greys after about a decade, but I’m a huge space nerd but the bit about SpaceX is wildly wrong. SpaceX has done three manned flights over the last year or so, and is doing a private space flight later in the summer.

That dress is, hands down, the ugliest wedding dress I’ve seen, and I used to watch Say Yes to the Dress. Everything about it, to my eye, is off - the sleeves, the neckline, the waistline, the girth of the skirt, and the train. I hate it, and I will not be deterred in my hatred. 

The MAGA thing appears to have been entirely invented. People in the replies to that tweet calling her a Trump fan are begging for the evidence, but no one has actually provided any, as far as I can tell. And she follows a bunch of Dems on IG, so it’s a mystery where the accusation is coming from.
