It was only deemed impractical after the people were rescued. It’s more effort than you or I put forward.

I am not a Musk fanboy or anything but even with his failures/setbacks he has accomplished FAR more than 99% of people on this planet. Just getting Tesla where it is now is incredible when you think of what it would take to get electric cars as popular as they are, doing it by starting a car company from scratch, and w

The writers at Gizmodo and this whole operation have horrible opinions that they feel the need to shove down our throats and ruin otherwise half decent articles. I was just trying to recall at what point they decided they didn’t like Elon Musk, as every article they wrote for years was nothing but praise. Now they

This article needs to shoved up his ass. Adam has always been the laughing stock at Gizmodo for quite some time now. He’s a pathetic beta male who’s only purpose is to write trash articles and generate page clicks.

Guy has money, material, smart cookies, and the ability to pretty much put anything he wants into motion.

One problem with this take. After he started publicly musing over ideas, he actually did start talking to the dive rescue team privately on email. The “sub” concept was developed with input from the rescue divers and they continued to press Musk to design and deliver the sub, as shown in a series of emails posted to

And who did his actions hurt?  No one but your fragile ego, apparently.

Seriously, i find it hard to believe she drinks such drivel as that.

I don’t understand the hatred towards Musk among the Jalopnik community. He has ambitious goals that could indeed fail, but has already brought impressive innovation in different areas:

Why are you so consistently negative and hostile? I like your writing and read your articles but even when you seem to like something you focus on negatives to a deep extreme.  I want to live in a world where 4/5 Adam Clark Estes articles are positive and leave me feeling upbeat after reading them!

Except he was living off of his sister’s charity to go buy groceries because he couldn’t bring himself to catch fish.  He wasn’t living off the grid--just near the grid.

You actively read The Root don’t you?

Had to explain to a family member how dumb it was that I need a motorcycle endorsement to ride but they did not need any additional training for an RV.

I know I feel safer knowing that this level of shadiness around these tires persisted all while RV operators were exempted from any CDL limits for GVWR.

Waiting for the forthcoming teardown of the Mission-E, electric VW bus and Audi electric whatever where they discover that housed inside each battery pack is actually...

• The Battery Management System controller appears to use custom microchips made just for the Model 3. Nobody seems to know much about these, at least not yet, but it’s telling that Tesla had their own chips fabricated instead of using off-the-shelf components.

This is part of the reason the secondhand private jet market is so brisk. The maintenance standards are so high there isn’t much reason to buy new.

Surely everyone in the comments will wonder if the jury received some kind of information that the above article does not include before flipping into outrage mode.

Ah, got it. “The police are lying, he didn’t do anything.”

Should have been zero.
