Came here to say this. Why does A.V. Club give no love to The Last Kingdom? It’s fantastic. Andrew Breymon is fantastic. Uhtred is an intriguing and sympathetic character and Season 1 was phenomenal. 

Season 3 started out slow, but then someone hit the gas and it got bonkers! This show is batshit-crazy and I love it. Looking forward to Season 4. It would have driven me nuts not to see how everything gets resolved.

As someone who has done a lot of reading on different religions, they made a few rookie mistakes that I hope they don’t repeat next season. Aside from the statue, for another example “Samhain” is not pronounced sam-hAin, as they did in episode 2 or 3. It’s pronounced sow-in. Basic research would have born that out.

Every word of his dialogue is offensively corny. And his attempts at manipulation are so heavy-handed and obvious. Who falls for this crap? Negan has never been scary. The Governor was the best.
