The 996TT has the Metzger block(found only in GT3, Cup's and RSR's), which is German for"built like a brick shit house." Many of these cars handle up to 800whp on stock bottom ends, and there are more holding around 1200 with some more mods (Which are going more then 200 mph in the standing mile), Given how easy it is…
Well I shared this last time that F40 video was posted.
That hood bulge screams small block V-8! If the 3.6 sans turbos fits under the hood of an ATS with out any bump why would the addition of turbos require it if the intake manifold is a similar size? If this car has a 5.7 LS block I would say the M-3-4 might have a bit to be worried about.. Namely a piss-pile of smokey…
As much as I love a 10 second car bro, I think I would spend my $42 grand on a C6 and throw on a Twin turbo kit and a bunch of other goodies. Then I would have a car that is lighter handles better and has 3 times the power.
Instead of shelling out all kinds of fun-tickets for a engine re-build, why not just do a LS swap?
This guy is my favorite guy, he use to (or still does) post on a certain "high end" car site. He has a Costco sized building full of every car you want, he ships his GT3 RS around the world on vacation with him and runs this Surpa drag race program thing pretty much for fun. Last I remember seeing he had 2 full blown…
My Roomates brother went to this lat year, said it was a crzy good time, but there was only 2 or 3 racing rigs that ran. He did mention that it was a colorful good time thou.
Agreed, black on black never does it for me on high end sedans, but the SMG is a total deal breaker for me on these rigs. So if I have the choice between well kept 6 speed in a"shitty color" vs. a more enjoyable color and a SMG I would take the black.
I think Chevy could do great with a customization program from the factory, offer many options on leather color , 2 tone paint jobs, fades, pin stripes and and offer a bunch of wheel styles. then don't charge out the A-hole for it. and watch the cars jump off the lots.
I saw one of those yesterday, Same as your Spec, F-450 Platinum being used as a work truck for a guy that was laying stones at a house up the street. And it was completely beat to shit.
I would snap up a "rebuilt" c6 zo6 in a second, given how body panels are replaced not fixed on these cars, as long at the frame is in spec I would make this a tack day super star. Running down Aero-beatles and fezza's in a car that is a 3rd of the price, is reliable as the tides and responds very well to cheap bolt…
GT3-RS'sssssssss
Nah, just The Brougham.
Chances are this Veyron (just like every other one that gets used on public roads) is covered from stem to stern in a very expensive and washable clear bra.
Did anyone ever consider for one second that the plate with "982" might of been chosen by a new owner of a curtain Porsche containing those numbers in its name?
I will take a RWD coupe in speed yellow please with a PDK.
I would say the dog leg is not the issue, its the change in vertical profile right in the touchdown zone. So in this case, the pilot in is trying to flare the aircraft , while balancing on the front gear, while the runway goes from flat to up, while not letting the prop strike.
