Old post, I know — but thought I’d give you an answer.

Basically, the magnetic poles have historically switched before. The last switch occurred approximately 780,000 years ago, but usually it’s around 300,000 years between cycles. we’re overdue.

There’s multiple theories about what might happen, and how long the

I can’t believe the blatant fat-shaming going on here. It’s utterly disgraceful that an entire city would shame larger citizens.

I’ve always wondered if there’s ever been someone who was born and raised in Jersey or Oregon, and never left the state until well into adulthood... Who then proceeded to pull up to an out-of-state gas pump and wait for an eternity.

I’m sure it’s happened, somewhere.

I can see my house in there! (almost).

There’s a lot more to Arizona than just desert.

Another (slightly more realistic) scenario we would do with my mom’s Expedition:

Just keep telling yourself that.

Oh! My mistake. Too damn early. Still, my cousin is a deep south redneck. I guess that’s similar to Australian?

I have a cousin named Courtney Barnett. I don’t think she’s British though. Or a sad clown.

One of them has a Subaru badge!

Go for the Accord.

This is why I love the Jalopnik community.

... God damnit. Don’t you tempt me.

As silly as it sounds, I picked up a Shemagh (or Keffiyeh, or Tactical Scarf...) from a military surrplus store for cheap. It’s probably the most versatile piece of gear I own. You will continue to find uses for it. It’s essentially a 44”x44” piece of woven cotton cloth.

What’s sad is, I could see that actually happening.

“Whelp, there’s no engine in here. Obviously just scrap now. Let’s drop a K-barrier on it!”

Don’t forget to put a massive pile of week old garbage in the corner of the room.

I’ll bend the rules slightly —

Semi-related to the lead idea: not understanding differences between divides, and assuming if you like one thing you must like another.

I remember a story a while back about China wanting a similar railroad. Imagine a junction somewhere around here, with a stretch of track / road / pipe going down into China. The expensive part of the road would obviously be the crossing itself, followed by improvements on the Trans-Siberian as well as a cut across

All except for a small stretch of rebel-controlled jungle. :(
