I’m getting dangerously close to selling my FR-S and getting a truck. I don't know why.
could have been both makes. I distinctly remember hearing the Kia Rio adverts on the radio (could've been just our local dealer though). But our Kia and Daewoo dealer were one in the same (incredible, I know!).
Generally good, except for vehicles with Mexican plates, snowbirds, and transplants who don't know what they're doing and bring their local driving with them.
I was amazed, even in downtown SLC people were paying attention, weren't waiting for gaps a mile long to turn / merge, but would still give you room and wave you over the minute you signaled!
I LOVED how fast Utah drivers drive. Speed limit is 80? 95 sounds good.
Don’t remind me —moving back on Wednesday.
Well I've driven twice from Phoenix to Flagstaff and back. Except for slow tourists around all the national parks, I had nothing but great drivers. Even in SLC they weren't bad. Much better than Phoenix.
Transplants?
Oddly enough, every time I’ve visited Utah I’ve enjoyed the drivers there. They drive quick, yield to faster traffic, don't hesitate, but are still nice.
Well the record they beat was done without a support vehicle, so it can still be done. The support vehicle just allowed them to carry water, snacks, and other drivers as well. You could easily just load up 3 friends in a Model S, with some snacks and drinks, and drive it across the country.
If you read, the Suburban averaged 17.8mpg for the whole trip — a bit better than 15.
And, they used it for its space. Hauling gear, people, water, snacks. The Suburban has a big enough tank and a long enough range that it wouldn’t hold up the Tesla anywhere.
I get the irony, but the point of these records is the…
The last bit of battery takes longer to charge. It’ll do half the battery in 20 minutes, and up to around 170 miles of charge in 30 minutes. It’ll reach 80% in 40 minutes, but takes 75 minutes to reach 100%.
80% is typically enough to reach the next charging station. If they charged to full each time, it would have…
YES! Someone noticed! It was fairly subtle, but I thought someone would have seen it sooner. Haha
I’ve been in a modern GM. Still not impressed.
Yup. Plenty of other cars and trucks made there (even by Mexico). They could easily build in Mexico and sell it here.
Well, enough for me. Keep in mind, most American trucks will do that run in around 6-7 seconds. Anything that gets to 60 in double digit times is considered “too slow” by most American standards (even though most Americans accelerate WAY slower). It’s all marketing and promotion. Good luck selling something rated at a…
Oh yeah. Our trucks are all obnoxiously large and powerful.
