I'm sorry if this is a repeat, but for that one or two random guys/gals who may not know it, vid goes along with this book quite well (in my humble opinion, at least).
@Frizzoo: Good mention - I'm a fairly happy camper with Moodagent as well.
From personal experience - backup relevant stuff, run through KillDisk or DBAN if more extensive erasing is necessary, and deliver to IT department for them to re-image for future owner. It has worked with no problems so far.
