That law needs better phrasing. Altering or gaining unauthorized control by itself shouldn’t be illegal. It should only be illegal if the intent is to do harm by doing those above things. Otherwise I could be locked up for simply jailbreaking my Prius essentially.

I think Nintendo’s ownership of Mariners was more important not because they were a videogame company, but a Japanese company. Ichiro wasn’t the first Japanese baseball player in the MLB but he was the most important. I doubt he would have made it over the MLB as soon as he did if it weren’t for the Seattle Mariners

Bad times for these. I'd only get plates with USB-C on them. The old A standard is about to be obsolete in a few years.

How to ruin an art style and iconic characters before anyone gets a chance to know them. Blizzard 2016.

My friend decided it was time for him to build a PC (after I picked out all the parts for him). He gives me a call a couple hours into his build and wonders why the GPU won’t fit in the slot...Thinking he just has the wrong slot he vid chats me and it’s in the right slot but doesn’t fit. I think for a second...”Did

$3200 for a 940M? No thanks. Until you put a 960M minimum in the Surfacebook, I see very little reason to chose it over a regular Surface Pro 4. Considering there is nothing else in the keyboard section but a battery should leave you plenty of room for cooling.

I always thought sending out the Voyager probe was a bit naive. “Hey, let’s send out a message telling would be aliens all about our primitive culture and fertile planet. What could possibly go wrong?”

Will it decode DTS 5.1 to a 5.1 channel format, or at least send it over ‘passthrough’ to a receiver?

My problem with emulators is general usability. The fact that I can’t set default settings on a per rom basis is one of the reasons playing old console games through emulation is such a pain the ass. Let’s say I’m playing Ocarina of Time and I manage to change all the settings to get the game running as smoothly as

Can’t beat the variety of food, art and culture of New York, only a handful of American cities even come close. New York is a different kind of animal.

The ASUS is also IPS and 160HZ yes that’s 160 refresh rate with gsync. That’s why I specifically mentioned that model.

Nice! This is great to have since iStumbler when shareware. Thanks.

Won’t HEVC/H265 cut bandwidth costs more than anything? Obviously HEVC presents new problems on the client side, more CPU power required which means worse power consumption, but would ultimately be best for bandwidth reasons, which is what netflix really cares about anyways.

I’m going to take the other side of the argument here and say you shouldn’t even need that PS4 remote because if the PS4 had an IR port like every other piece of equipment that’s ever hooked up to your TV. You could use it with one of those fantastic Logitech Harmony Remotes that will be better than any PS4 Remote

Any reason you went with the Acer instead of an ASUS PG279Q? The ASUS is $70 more but well worth it IMO. You get a superior build quality and better panel.

Maybe. Except for price.

I hate the current state of the industry. How hard is it to get a complete and pure experience? I feel like I’m constantly being nickled and dimed. There doesn’t seem to be a game that isn’t riddled with microtransactions, aggressive DLC, episodic and/or exclusive content, in game ads etc etc. Whether it’s Destiny,

I think this article overlooked one of Plex’s biggest features... ‘Friends’. You covered how with Plex you can watch anything from any device, anywhere, even when not at home, all transcoded in real time if necessary. But the crazy thing is, so can anyone I’m friends with. All they have to do is be friends with me on

Well most people don’t run the server software on every machine they have, they usually have a dedicated device or a desktop PC that’s on all the time to run their Plex servers. This not only possible, but easy because of Plex’s remote play features. That’s why lots of people run them off of low-medium power NAS’s.

For the more tech inclined. This is probably the best answer. Use Kodi for the ‘flagship’ setup, like a home theater, and Plex for everything else.
