Games were more expensive to develop as well. Developers basically had to make a SNES/Genesis game and sell it at a mobile price, where as on gameboy it was like developing for a monochrome NES.

I actually prefer the third party app like TRIM Enabler in this particular case because OS X will turn off TRIM any time you do a system update. TRIM Enabler lets you know when TRIM is off and let’s you turn it back on again. If it doesn’t pop up, you’re good to go.
