Games were more expensive to develop as well. Developers basically had to make a SNES/Genesis game and sell it at a mobile price, where as on gameboy it was like developing for a monochrome NES.

I actually prefer the third party app like TRIM Enabler in this particular case because OS X will turn off TRIM any time you do a system update. TRIM Enabler lets you know when TRIM is off and let’s you turn it back on again. If it doesn’t pop up, you’re good to go.
As a 10+ year Halo fan and Halo MP veteran, this is incredibly sad. Since the days of Halo 2, I’ve been able to drag along 3 friends and play four player splitscreen, online, on the same screen, only one of needed an Xbox live account. For shame 343, for shame...People still like to play with their friends in person.
The PS4 has lots of Xbox 360 converts, people who never owned a PS3. A compilation of the flagship games that people missed out on can’t lose them money.
Third parties aren’t going to be interested in developing a game for what is going to be most people’s ‘second console’. That’s Nintendo’s real dilemma, they don’t compete spec for spec with Sony and Microsoft, but they can be in the same ballpark and right now they’re not. Their own games look great because they nail…
GT2 was bloated. GT3 was IMO the best in the series.
Where does a streaming or even digital download service approach that quality? As far as I know, most of these streaming and even digital downloads are still using some form of H264 video that doesn’t have bitrate that approaches that of a bluray. Netflix maxes out at like 3500Kbps for most HD video. Bluray is…
It be nicer if I could just integrate this into Messages like I used to be able to do with iChat and all the other IM/chat clients.
"Because the kid is so young, he's been released back into his mother's custody" ...bet he was white
Lost it when it loaded in Banjo-Kazooie
Well he's obviously not taking Metal Gear with him, so it's the end of an era really.
I found both IV and V disappointing in gameplay AND story compared the Vice City, San Andreas, and hell even III which had a silent protagonist but started off with a betrayal and had you climbing your way up the various crime gangs of Liberty City...through deceit and betrayal.
Button remapping is awesome! I hope they let you save different profiles and the ability to set a default config for each game so you don't have to manually remap buttons constantly.
Is anything really game breaking these days with the ability to patch things out? Like this is obviously going to get fixed by Nintendo.
Metroid Prime was and still is great to this day because it follows the philosophy of less is more. Every piece of the world has a purpose to it. You learned your way around and learned all the nooks and crannies of the game because it forced you to backtrack and navigate through a common hub world, that became more…
I stopped after the first DLC when they introduced all the new currencies. I just couldn't take it anymore. It was insulting to the time I had put in. And I really emphasize the time thing because Destiny doesn't respect my time. The fact that I'm limited rewards not by how much I play the game but by when I play the…
One size fits all doesn't work with cars. This is why I recommend Pro Clip USA. https://www.proclipusa.com/
I wish Plex would let you wake a PC with a WOL magic packet or something that when you tried to access the server, but that's me, I can't have everyone else setting up WOL magic packet apps on their phones just so they can use Plex. This is how I did it before I moved PlexMediaServer to the NAS
NAS4Free needs pluggin support to be a better alternative. I agree, FreeNAS seems great but the hardware requirements are very steep, and the enterprise level security is maddening. Setting up permissions has never been so frustrating.
Okay FreeNAS seems great but it has some caveats. First of all, you're going to need ECC memory to run FreeNAS, which is only supported on certain motherboards, and it's expensive. FreeNAS also has large Memory overhead. You need 8GB of RAM for the OS, plus 1GB for every 1TB of raw storage in your system.
