Nokia makes fantastic hardware. If they only would throw Android on some of that great hardware they'd be relevant in the US again. They don't have to give up their developing country dumbphone business to make an Android phone. Symbian is obviously non-existent in the US. They have nothing to lose by giving Android a

@GreasyPig: Doubtful. The highest config is already using the most powerful dual core mobile processor available now, the i7-640M. There are mobile quad core processors but Apple probably won't use them because their to big and eat up to much battery. Maybe more default RAM if you're lucky.

@Kaiser-Machead v.2.3: Am I the only one who likes the Glossy screens? I feel like everyone hates them, but the colors and just seem to pop on Glossy screens even if they are a bit more reflective.

Can we get a quad core mobile i7 option available in the MBPs? I know it's highly unlikely because of size and battery life, but I really want want 4 cores!

@thanegill001: A slightly older version is available on CNET if anyone wants to give it a try before they fix it.

@thanegill001: Same here, Mac DMG seems to be broken.

On the Mac side

They blocked Fox but not Fox News, can't let the propaganda machine slow down for even a second.

But all those services makes sure customers are using Google search and not abandoning it for another. If your mail, calendar, contacts etc are all done through google, you're not going to use Yahoo to look something up. All those projects are just to protect their market share.

@davinp: The GUI isn't anything special. It's organized just like iTunes had been. The clickwheel, iTunes syncing and amazing design made the iPod what it was, not the GUI. Plus how come creative zen couldn't capitalize on their technology? Apple wasn't the powerhouse they are today, they were still desperately trying

This chart is wrong, the iPod 3G, the one with the 4 buttons on top, was the first iPod that worked with windows, not the firewire iPod 2G. And the touch sensitive wheel was available on the iPod 2G first, not the 3G. The first gen iPop is the only one with the mechanical wheel.

$20 bucks a month for a 1GB? I thought technology was supposed to get better not worse. That's how much an unlimited edge data plan used to cost.

They've managed to put out all three forza games between the release of GT4 and GT5, and Forza 4 is coming out next year. GT does some things better than Forza but nothing to justify the ridiculously long wait for a title that was supposed to be released near the PS3's launch.

Japan has always stiffed Americans when it's come to color consoles. Every nintendo handheld or video game console always is available in multiple colors in japan at launch. In the US we don't get colors unless it's a special edition or a new version of the console.

I have a Q-Nap TS-439 pro. It has 4 HD slots (supports up to 16TB), dual LAN, 2 eSATA ports, 3 USB ports, and lcd screen on the front for basic info. It's an NAS with a 1GB of RAM and runs on an intel atom proc so this thing screams.

@jdale: I'm curious what you can do on a Pre that you can't do on a jailbroken iPhone or Android?

@Neige: People love the N64 controller. And for Zelda it worked. Z targeting, the C buttons for items. B for sword, A for action. It works perfectly for that game.

@ElephantFace: Play it on an N64. The game was designed to work best with that controller. Playing with a gamecube controller or a Wiimote takes away from the experience IMO opinion.

@LTMP: Quality is always lost with conversion, plus audio sync gets messed up frequently also. That in addition to 4TB worth of video just isn't worth it. It would take a years to convert all the videos.

If it had proper codec support, then this would be a no brainer at $99. But limiting me to mp4 h.264 is not gonna do it. When I want something to play digital content, I want to be able to play all of it. Not just formats apple approves.
