Doesn’t she actually have to fund 2 places to live—-I would assume she has to maintain a residence in her district AND a place in DC which is very expensive. Plus, who pays for their district offices? Do Representatives get money from the Federal or their state government to pay for that?

I wish I could say I am surprised, but a white conservative male writer calling a woman a girl isn't shocking. It's annoying, but not a surprise.

Well that jacket was apparently quite cheap, and probably made by kids the same ages as the ones Malaria visited.

I know it’s our job. I was being facetious. I am soooo excited about her policy ideas! And that she is a young WOC is a bonus!

“A girl who struggles”

It’s not her job to save us, it’s our job to save ourselves. Her job is to help us do it.

I remember someone I know lamenting how someone who owned a smartphone couldn’t possibly be homeless. Or hell, the people who said refugees couldn’t possibly have their lives at risk because they were wearing Levi’s and had phones... as if those things act as a bomb shelter or provide access to sanitary water and food.

She is tough, she’s from Yorktown Heights. She can handle it. Please save us Alexandria (no pressure though, if you are reading this.)

If only this hussy would have the good taste towear a jacket that read “I don’t really care. Do U?” This would be a non-issue!

AOC stands in stark contrast to the phony aesthetic of Donald Trump; one of the working class who has seen (and still experiences!) their struggles first hand, versus someone who never has, and whos claim to speak for them is just one of many lies he tells all the time. They’ll tell us Rump speaks for the real america,

I use food stamps. I don’t have an iPhone...but I don’t have a “fancy” smartphone ..that I bought used off of eBay. You understand it’s basically a necessity to have a smart phone in this day and age? I also have a nice name handbag I received as a Xmas gift five years ago that I have kept in impeccable condition.

It’s almost like you’re illustrating the point of this article.

During her show this week Laura Ingraham was practically sneering at her, calling her a “kid” who dared to be noisy and unrestrained while debating issues and (to Ingraham’s glee) dividing Democrats against Pelosi.

Her constituents did that already.

You’re poor! How dare you have anything that brings you happiness and comfort! I as a taxpayer demand that the government approve all of your purchases and actions!” -Republicans who claim to support capitalism and less government control over citizens.

Corporate democrats are more than anyone.

So long as they’re cheap t-shirts. If they’re fancy, like fitted or god forbid with buttons on the collar, it’ll obviously prove she’s secretly rich. Fox will be checking closely for cotton/poly blends.

These people are all terrified of her, of what she represents.

She should get “I am a member of Congress” tee shirts printed up.

Dear Salty Waitress,
