Someone else posted in a different thread, this is also the same team that ran up the score in this game. When you have a position player pitching and you are up by 20 that should be an indication that its time to take it base by base instead of aiming for the fences. But no, Kelley was the real problem here. Asshats

Mike Rizzo on the decision to DFA Shawn Kelley: “You’re either in or you’re in the way. He was in the way.” Called him slamming his glove “disrespect” and “selfish.”

we want players who care about the name on the front of the jersey more than the name on the back of the jersey

33 years old and a free agent after the season

Ironically, the 10-5 rule was designed to prevent teams from dumping established players to teams like the Orioles.

Can we please, please, please end the NCAA? Seriously, please? As much as I love a good rape and abuse factory financed by modern slave labor, I think it’s gone on long enough.

If this woman hasn’t learned to keep her mouth shut by now...”

I never would have imagined someone named Hiram de Fries would turn out to be a villain.

Why do we have to pretend that eating a lot and and being unhealthily fat isnt a negative thing?

People who say cheese plates are boring are not my kind of people.

There was a bizarre situation recently in my area. A local food blogger posted a reluctantly negative review of this ludicrously awful cheese plate they had ordered at a local gastropub/hip bar. Well geez thanks! I try to stay away from place-specific articles, since our readers are spread all over the country. That said, if you want some NYC recs from a person who doesn’t live in NYC, you can email me at kbernot [at] thetakeout.com

Kate, I love your beer articles.  They’re probably my favorite articles to read on the site.  I’d really enjoy an article on some up and coming breweries that are putting out great stuff if you ever have the opportunity.  My wife and I are always looking for new places to check out in the NYC area.
