Yes. When it is wretched outside, everything takes gargantuan effort. I can cook or bake, but must definitely stay in pajamas, must drink copious amounts of tea and must have either BBC dramas or period piece movies on all day.
What is breakfast pasta?? That poundcake sounds heavenly. My partner and I are going on a date for the first time in forever so I’m currently yelping restaurants around his place of work, so no clue what I’m eating yet but of course haven’t eaten much today and am STARVING.
I survived my first hot yoga class!! It got pretty miserable but I was kind to myself, didn’t push it too hard and did NOT throw up (that was my biggest fear going in). I bought a 2 week pass for $25 and I’m going to go every day for the next 2 weeks as a kick start to my “get back into shape already” campaign.
Sooooo mature.
My partner and I live with roommates and while it makes things a lot more affordable, I am torn between having roommates and living in our own place. At this point we probably wouldn’t be able to rent a house with a yard and not have roommates so it’s great. But every time I find my favorite hand made mug with a super…
Because the White House, like any fraternity, subjects new members to hazing and pranks.
Wasn’t that because she was a Republican? And also because they were being petty about her being a Republican?
But what about Abbey?? And Mrs. Landingham? And Joey Lucas! I realize I have a major soft spot for the show because nostalgia/formative teenage years whatever, but I feel like there are plenty of female characters who take shit from no one.
I have actually been watching West Wing the past couple of days as I gave myself food poisoning with old yogurt (if it tastes funky, it’s because it’s funky, not because it’s yogurt) and it was the most comforting show. Nostalgia, the intro etc. And I gotta say, it’s full of strong women. C.J. obviously, but Donna,…
He gives kisses and loves pets and is so snuggly! He’s such a lump. But he won’t climb up on the couch! I built him a ramp and everything but he just won’t do it.
He is SO smiley!
Thank you!!!
YOU GUYS I GOT A DOG. It has been a long time comin, this pup. And the most amazing thing of all is how supportive my partner is being. For the longest time he said he just wasn’t ready for a dog, but I guess the timing is just right. This dog is amazing. He is such a lump! Yayyyyy.
I don’t have any kiddos yet, but I was a preschool teacher for seven years and am currently a labor and birth doula and it seems like dealing with the kiddos when they get out is a lot like dealing with getting them out in the first place. You can read all the books and make all the plans and go to all of the classes,…
Do you have a long weekend/snow day/spring break to dedicate to your endeavors? No pull-ups, no nothin. You can do it! The kiddo I nanny for has a baby bjorn mini seat that fits on the big toilet seat and a squatty potty because she felt really uncomfortable with her feet dangling far off the floor. Her parents…
I think it’s the same now, we just had some kids at the preschool who were 4 turning 5 still dealing with that (literal) shit because their parents couldn’t be bothered to take the time to make it happen. It’s an art and science focused school with child led education and a loose rhythm to the day which is great for…
Depends on the school! I was at a preschool where kiddos had to be potty trained to enroll, but am currently at a center that offers infant and toddler care then going into preschool. Potty training is supposed to be done by the time preschool transition takes place but there are always a few who haven’t quite gotten…
Wood floors, working from home, elimination communication. I have seen so many 3, 4 and 5 year olds who are still having issues with potty training and end up having accidents throughout the school day. There was also the kid who would hide their poo throughout the classroom, but luckily I was not their primary…
The stand up diaper change goes more along the lines of including the child in the diapering event and not treating them like an object to be undressed/wiped down/dressed. The school where I worked (RIE/Reggio Emilia/some Montessori influence) also did not take pull ups because once you commit to potty training,…
