God, I WISH my sister had taken my wear anything you want advice to heart. She was my only bridesmaid (bc it was just her or 12 people- so we went the easy route and asked the rest to just wear red if they wanted). She freaked under that suggestion, could not pick, called me endlessly, needed direction, hated

Likely from a lifetime of experience effacing herself for her sister’s need to be the center of attention.

The bride/sister may be an actual saint. The MOH/sister has a CLEAR need to be the center of attention at all times.

The bride is far more gracious than I would’ve been if my sister said she wanted to be the center of attention at my wedding, which is exactly what you’re saying when you say you want to wear a T-rex costume to be someone’s Maid of Honor because TECHNICALLY they said you could wear “whatever you wanted” and that’s

I disagree with the headline and think the bride is the best person in America for genuinely being okay with this and defending her sister. She was okay with giving up a picture perfect wedding AND the spotlight (because let’s be real, most of the people were watching the dinosaur). That’s pretty damn cool.

To be honest, I think the sister (the one getting married) comes off as the true hero of the story here. Wearing that costume was guaranteed to siphon attention away from the bridal couple for as long as it was on, and I’m pretty skeptical of the intentions of someone who would do that at someone’s wedding (or any

You’re gonna miss that blissful ignorance now that it’s gone.

I don’t hate Joe Biden, but I do think he’s a wildly milquetoast candidate, and it’s a terrible idea to run him in 2020.

I’d be more inclined to forgive her racist past if it weren’t for her racist present.

Trump isn’t stupid enough to open himself up to discovery. He’ll say “Look! It was all fake!” and the idiots that make up way too high of a % of this country will believe him. They aren’t going to believe anything MSNBC says anyways, but this sort of stunt just gives them fapping material.

In John Kelly’s case, that rings hollow. It sort of does in Mattis’ case too, but the military is a gigantic organization and honestly I’d rather have it be run by a competent person, even if that person has to give Donald Trump some of what he wants to keep the job than an incompetent one, a defense industry executive

This is all correct, but I would draw a line at the military and James Mattis being an apples-to-apples comparison to other Donald Trump appointee/grifters. The military is really it’s own branch of government (unfortunately), and the expectation that they would resign as opposed to serve an unfit executive would just

Having once gotten bedbugs from a friend just visiting my house and bringing the eggs in on her shoes, I can no longer buy any used items because I get too grossed out. Those little fuckers can hide anywhere. Think that wooden table is safe? Nope, they can be in the nooks and crannies there too. It’s less likely than

I’m really disgusted at the backlash against her for simply standing up and voicing her strongly held beliefs regarding #MeToo and Franken.   Franken is responsible for Franken.

I like her on gender issues. She is a force for good with the #metoo movement and for reproductive rights, equal pay etc...

Ugh.  “Kelly Clarkson successfully negotiated a schedule to allow her an appropriate work-life balance.”  There I fixed it.

John Stamos’s entire purpose in life since he was 19, has been to show up, look pretty (which, job VERY well done there, sir), and spout some cheesy tag lines that pass for basic cable-level humor... and perhaps ride that nostalgia wave into the sunset. I don’t think that critical thinking skills or even a general

Ok, but - has there really *been* that much infighting? I watched both debates and other than a few, fairly respectfully made barbs, things were pretty congenial on the whole. I mean, I know it makes for a better story if we pretend the Dem primary is a shit show but, we could also just choose to not...
