except we are neither Rome nor Greece, thankfully. We are America and our Constitution has helped create unarguably the greatest civilization the world has ever seen. We've passed nations thousands of years older and raised the standard of living and affluence of much of the world.

If you think the North picked a fight with the South over the moral indignation of slavery, you are sadly misinformed, laughably so

maybe they were recent intentions but the principles in each ideology are not new inventions. Liberalism is an authoritarian big government ideology. Obama described the Constitution as a list of "negative liberties" because they describe what the government can NOT do to you and it empowers the individual.

that's because you don't understand economics and are content to let others do your thinking. If you can't figure out how wealth redistribution screws the middle class and prevents them from climbing the economic ladder, then you're a fool

could have been a childs drawing for all we know, maybe the area was a bit of a nursery

it says that most people don't share your view. That FOX is the the most popular because they are the best and the most trusted. I'm glad you're getting variety, that's important for getting some context.

it only works if your a flaming liberal. Free speech by anyone else will be met with cries of 'racism', 'bigotry', 'hate speech' etc

there's an excellent article written in the NYT about why the iPhone can't be built here in America, it's a long read but it's worth it: [www.nytimes.com]

10 years at the top speaks for itself. Don't be afraid of news and hearing something that challenges your little world view

you realize how stupid you sound when you call it FauxNews? All you show is that you're scared to death of hearing something that challenges your narrow little bigoted world view.

actually I think it's pretty accurate. Liberalism/big government is what's preventing the middle class from climbing the economic ladder. We're bearing the cost of all that wealth redistribution, all those social programs, vote buying and all that subsidizing of poverty and incompetence. Well that is for those of

war on religion? fill us all in

I'm not sure what your point is. I'm guessing you're talking about slavery? The civil war wasn't about slavery, it became about that when the North was losing and forced former slaves to join the North and then offered freedom to the rest.

principles and values don't changed depending on the evolution of society. That's the beauty of values, they are a rock on which you can stand

I don't particularly have a problem with cheap labor. It provides jobs to people who otherwise wouldn't have them. Sure I think work standards could be improved but that isn't a reason to boycott trade.

ideology is everything. If you cared about that rather than party, you wouldn't find yourself defending fools.

not it wasn't, Gizmodo is a bunch of San Francisco liberals that are just waiting for any stupid excuse to make fun of a Republican, this one was pretty lame, so I just posted 3 off the top idiot Democrat moments.

it's not the job or the preview of the government to feed people. If you want more of something, you subsidize it. If you want less of it, you tax it.

so if I come around and punch you in the face, you get what you deserve because you weren't prepared for it?
