Agreed. She deserved fair and humane treatment while in prison. But she deserved prison. She is no hero, and I’ve never seen any compelling evidence that she released the information that she did for any reasons intended to actually benefit the American people.

Fuck her, wile I believe her treatment in prison was terrible she still deserves to be in there. 

True, but... She wanted to. After Clinton won the nomination, Sarandon wanted Clinton to lose, and wasn’t afraid to going around saying as much. And it really is impossible to say how her antics may have affected voter enthusiasm - it probably didn’t change anything, but who can say?

You can say that Sarandon didn’t contribute to Trump’s election, and I think a strong case can be made that nobody listens to her.

I mean, that was stupid and all, but she didn’t contribute to the rapid erosions of civil rights in America, the next major economic crash, the (possible) start of any wars, or an environmental catastrophe of unimaginable scale.

If you’re not looking back, may I suggest you look forward? Get involved on the local level, run for city council or school board, or get involved in the campaign of someone who you respect on the local level. If you feel voting is unproductive, there are other ways to be involved and make a difference in politics.
