@D-K, owhoo... how unfortunate..: A facebook event saves you a ton of time over calling everyone or mailing invitations. Even if you wanted to invite 200 people somewhere and only 100 had facebook, your efforts and time put in are still significantly lowered.

I love when people say that there are so many people playing games on the internet. What I want to know is whether or not they mean the world wide web. I always sort of assume they do when they put it next to search and communications.

I kind of just always thought that MS has a great appreciation for the Dreamcast controller and that's why they based the xbox controller on it greatly. I mean. Look at the duke controller and a dreamcast controller side by side... they're an obvious difference but they're pretty close.

I for one, am an SD gamer. Right now it's because I'm broke. I do have a VGA cable and use an old anchor of a computer monitor and some speakers but I can only use that when I know I'll be sitting relatively close to the screen. I certainly would love to have me anything at 40" or up, with surround sound of course. I

@bobtheduck: Unfortunately the right of passage isn't simply "DRIVE A CAR!" it's "Get your license and drive correctly". So... I guess I don't really get what's so upsetting. It's obviously supposed to be comical.

Holy Shit! That was the most amazing explanation of anything ever. My God, people, I hope you followed the link to the full explanation because it is... WOW. (pun unintended but enjoyed and will remain unremoved)

Ok. I don't know if this has been said but does it annoy anyone that if you accidentally click outside of your comment box, suddenly your whole comment is gone? I don't know if that's happened to everyone or just me. I'm in the newest version of Chrome with XP SP-2

@32ndnote: What we have to realize is that reality is NOT what's holding humor out of games, it's the fact that we want cartoon humor in realistic games. When a coyote walks off a cliff and doesn't fall until he realizes he should be falling, it's funny. When your character in GTA walks where he shouldn't, it's a

I like to see humor in games more than I like to see a game built around humor. For instance, there's this little physics problem the halo games that intentionally allows a player to just flip any vehicle they want, back to the correct position, so that the gameplay can keep moving along.

Don't worry. They'll make one that works the way this one was supposed to next generation. ;)

I actually thought of this as soon as I saw Natal during the MS press conference. I didn't develop the idea as much as you did though.

@KindaGamey: That's good but it would work better with, say, a game that has you controlling with Natal. If you're playing a controller based game, as many games will stick to the controller, having the custom animation can be an added feature that doesn't force you to get off of your couch and stand right in front of

@DarkSonic999: This doesn't have ANYTHING to do with sexual preference. I mean, I just don't see sexual orientation having anything to do with your custom mo-cap animation. If it were anything like teabagging, humping, or anything sexual at all it could be seen as abuse REGARDLESS of the preference. If a male avatar

"Kid Icarus: Long-rumored, desperately hoped for, and once again absent from any sort of announcement. Proof that a large group of people desperately wanting to believe in something doesn't make it true. I don't know how organized religion does it."

If I wasn't stuck in Ohio...

yuck

Oh man. Nintendo. You and your themes. Motion plus with the Wii Fit Board. How is that WORTH anything.
