Auto Start/Stop

Please. No thank you. I cannot get used to the car stalling out every time you stop at a red light. It’s too unsettling. 

For sure. It’s basically useless and the only reason it exists is so that automakers can claim fuel efficiency numbers their cars won’t ever really achieve.

This is the winner.

THIS x 100000000000000! I’ve never loathed a new feature more in my entire life, and you’ll never convince me that it doesn’t lead to accelerated wear and tear on the starter motor or the engine itself based on how people stomp the accelerator as soon as the light turns green.

Auto stop/start. From what I can tell it really doesn’t impact overall fuel economy that much and just makes for jerky starts at stoplights and stop and go traffic. It’s an automatic motion for me now to turn it off when I start the car. 

Except the overwhelming majority of people who get covid never need more than some OTC drugs. I took some nyquil and some zinc when I had it. Who are you to judge people who choose not to get a shot? It’s about risk tolerance, and for the vast majority of people, the risk is minimal.

Was never huge into American open-wheel racing, but Robin made a huge impression on me every time he appeared/contributed to “Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain”... he and Dave were such a dynamic duo on that show.

Yes Robin was a fine journalist and the world’s biggest Indy car fan. The politics of modern racing just drove him batty.
