Six seasons and a lumberjack!

Yeah, I get that, but I still figured Joffrey ought to have an irrational belief that Baratheon is the greatest of the houses. He seemed a little too docile in his acceptance of Lannisterism.

Hopefully someone can help me answer this question… I understand that Joffrey is 'officially' only half-Lannister (via Cersei), and I know the Lannisters assumed all positions of power (Hand, Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, etc.), but what are we to read into Joffrey's acceptance of all the Lannister lore and

Watching it again now, it seems like the inside of the pie was full of (some dead) doves, presumably from Joffrey's sword. So perhaps they just showed that to the audience so we'd see how incompetent he was at a simple act like cutting a pie. Or that G.O.B.'s in on it.

Yup, that shot seems like the key to the whole thing. And old-lady Tyrell's comments about who kills a person at their own wedding, along with the fact that Margaery was married to Renly… Tyrells have to be suspect number one.

By spending so much time on the so-called "dull" moments and catching-up, the show made the end results all the more shocking. Something like this happening in the action-packed 'Blackwater' episode wouldn't be nearly as surprising; half the fun is in the buildup.

Seriously, I thought Joffrey would be one of those 'series finale' deaths. Wow.

I'll admit that Suits is one of those shows that I basically "watch" like an audiobook, and at 1.2-1.5x speed at that—so the finer details are sometimes lost on me—but I could have sworn that was only to insert him into the Harvard database and not the New York State Court of Appeals and/or the New York State Board of

Suits clinging to outdated notions of physical media makes sense, seeing as how the internet basically doesn't exist in its world. Otherwise, this website would bring Mike Ross' whole operation tumbling down.

Well, they can't be multiplying, so it must be through conversions like Jehovah's Witnesses… Basically, we shouldn't answer the door anymore. Let's all just stay at our computers commenting on the AV Club, lest we get lured by that nerd lifestyle.

Linguo references fine, as long as is accompanied by piss-poor grammar and syntax for correct to others.

I've seen this train of thought repeatedly since last night—that Bays and Thomas likely felt hamstrung by the already-shot footage of the then-teenaged kids—but something about it doesn't ring true to me and seems like a cop-out.

Frank Darabont : hating Pilates instructors :: Brett Ratner : asses

They do one thing really well to redeem the intro, though—or at least they have in the last couple of seasons. I'm talking about the way they hold that last note in the score—from whatever scene precedes the intro—through to the start of the intro and it just seamlessly blends in perfectly. It's a small thing, but I

That sounds like a nightmare. How would you allocate likes to these cousins, as required by nascent Facebook law? One to each comment? One to each cousin? One to yourself?

I sort of see what you're saying. I've recently started reading some comments about, ahem, Norman Reedus (Daryl) being considered something of a heart-throb, along with the necessarily-accompanying shippers for Carol and Beth. I cannot for the life of me imagine how he's a sex symbol, but I think it's a function of

I think a lot of it is just fueled by the cultural conversation. Like LOST and The Sopranos, people like watching shows that others watch. Once a show like The Walking Dead or Game of Thrones builds a core fandom and becomes a 'water cooler' show, then others watch just so they can take part in the discussion.

Well, I'm certainly glad I watched last week's The Good Wife before I saw that giant thumbnail on the main page.

I always get distracted by the mononym because I didn't know that was allowed on TV. Madonna and Cher and Bjork and Prince and Rihanna do it, but they're musicians and they're famous. Why don't more actors do it? It's a good way to stand out. Retta. Retta. Retta. It's all I can think about now. I'll forget Amy

Everyone missed something that day.
