I think people’s reaction to this show says more about them than about the show. Fielder is not just some lazy creator coming to this process saying essentially “look at these idiots.”

Yeah he is doing a tremendous job.  His description in last week’s episode made my skin crawl.  This has been a fantastic show--one of the best of a very good year.

Been watching this show eagerly and Good Christ, does he absolutely own this role. Not since Cameron Britton scared the piss outta everyone as Ed Kemper in Mindhunter has someone come off as equally off kilter and simultaneously cunning with just facial and eye shifts.

Did you read the article? She’s saying the exact opposite, she wants the show to stop only mentioning an issue for one episode and instead talk about it for multiple episodes.
