I picked that Samsung WB350F for under $100 on eBay. There are many left. (Refurbished, but you can get a Mack Camera Warranty that will cover it for 5 years for pretty cheap and be covered for longer.)

Do you have a better example or more that you could share? I've seen some things higher priced on Amazon, but that seems to be the exception rather than the rule.

I have the older model of that pivot vacuum and love it. Keep the filter free and clear and maybe replace it once every few years at least...Still works great for what it is.

Yep. I had a pair of super cheap eBay wire strippers and those things would strip anything without ripping wires no matter how thin. Then, one day, I lost them. :( The replacement wire strippers I've been using were nowhere near as good as those generic eBay ones... I'll give these a try, especially for that

Those self adjusting Wire Strippers are available for $15.75 on backorder from Amazon... (not in stock, but if you don't need them right away you can save a few bucks.

Why not use Tom's Hardware database to find the fastest hard drives, then use a Google search to find the fastest USB 3.0 enclosures (some are faster than others). I've seen between 100 and 150 MB/s sustained with the Cru brand Green (can't remember the model off hand) write protectable enclosure using a Samsung Evo

These are good, but reminded me of cardpool which I use regularly. (only sold gift cards once for a friend, but I buy them there a lot.)

Give her a knife to score it first. :) I hear ya though, I'm cursing the previous owner for you too. That sucks!

I'd hand my wife a scraper, spray bottle and even offer to bring the ladder in for her.

replacing a worn out, cracked or otherwise bad electrical outlet is super super easy if you know how to turn off the right circuit breaker or all circuit breakers, the rest is just knowing how to turn a screw driver. The only issue is to make sure you don't reverse the two colored wires and don't forget to connect

Sure, you can spend 10 years letting your boy go through the games chronologically to earn an appreciation for games that are fun regardless of their graphics quality. Or, you could buy 1 copy of Minecraft and let him play it for a day. See if he doesn't want to play it that second day. Heck, you could probably do

If you really loved them, that would be part of a 10 layer gift, with each layer wrapped in something different, including cellophane / saran wrap, bubble wrap, cardboard, brown paper, white paper, construction paper (and/or clean butcher paper), etc.

Glisten Grove? or would that be Glisten Groove? (I'll see myself out.)

Learning to do your own oil changes. That in and of itself can save you money on the oil change itself OR you can use the same amount of money and use a much better quality of oil and filter and provide even better protection for your engine. In that vein, a Fumoto Valve Oil (Drain Valve) will pay for itself

Would you rather it start wiggling its legs so it could look like a live roach or a dying roach instead? (I mean, given the alternatives...)

I love the ideas that I'm seeing below. For me, a wide blade (the widest you can get) variable speed fan helps me sleep comfortably all season long. (Yes, I sleep with a thin sheet in the middle of winter...I get too hot easily. I sleep far better when it's cool and the fan helps move lots of air without the

If someone can't go cold turkey, then they need to find an app (or adjust the TV settings) that make the screen dimmer and more warmer colored. It is the white light (blue wavelength actually) that tells your brain to be more alert. Warmer colors (reds / yellows) tell your brain it's time to rest. So, yes
