If you can’t make it through a theater showing of an animated children’s film without becoming aroused, you quite plainly should never be in a theater showing of an animated children’s film.

A backup camera and automatic braking are what pass for “needed to live” these days? That’s mildly humorous. A lack of power windows would be a way bigger deal breaker for me than a backup camera. Hell, I’ve made it almost 20 years behind the wheel without one and have yet to kill anyone or back into anything.

Clearly, it should become an Up, Up, and Buffet.

Not sure, but it will be far too long after the opportunity to do something meaningful about it has passed.

Absolutely. With how secretive they are being about a facility exclusively filled with children that predominantly don’t speak the language or have access to assistance of any kind, who knows what kind of awful things could be happening with zero repercussions for those in charge.

As horrifically sad as it is to say, at this point I’m just waiting to read about how many children were forced into these facilities only to somehow die and be disposed of in secret.

I can sum up your entire post in one sentence: “Some things are prohibitively expensive here, so everyone else should just accept it and get ripped off too.”

Publix remains pretty much the only thing I miss about living in Florida. I could live off their subs and iced tea for the rest of my life.

It was a 1989, if memory serves. And this was over 10 years ago.

Yeah, it’s a shame that the Venn diagram of “People with a bunch of guns” and “People that think brown folks aren’t deserving of being treated like humans” essentially just makes one circle.

No kidding. I registered a grey-market Peugeot when I lived there years ago, and the DMV asked me if the VIN on the car matched my paperwork. I told them I hadn’t actually checked yet, and the honest-to-god reply I got was, “Eh, I’m sure it’s fine. You’re all set.”

Note that you’re imposing your own biases upon the motives of the left lane driver. You assume that he or she is “smug,” that he or she believes that “nobody else matters.”

Clearly, all movie critics other than those four are “Suppressive Persons”.

Agreed. The term “supported by science” is undoubtedly very vague on purpose. I’m sure if there is one study thirty years ago with only a tangential relation, they’ll count it as “support” for their product.

Bubble cars sure are...interesting.

I wonder which one of those dogs she fed Mike’s balls to...

On the topic of Anchor Brewing, I highly suggest anyone interested in beer and brewing go check out their facility in San Francisco. Very cool tour, and they brew using some of the neatest equipment I’ve seen. Old school (and literally quite old) copper stills, open fermentation, and very friendly staff.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that. If it’s good food, have at it. It isn’t like ordering a burger is preventing others from having a beer or six.

Most breweries do not have full bars, and the staff are often not trained bartenders. Given that this one serves food, I’d be willing to bet they do have some non-alcoholic options (such as cans of soda), but I wouldn’t expect too much apart from the product that they actually produce.
