To be fair, reducing a jet engine’s heat signature enough to make it truly stealthy has some very serious downsides. The diffused exhaust of the F-117 came at a serious cost of thrust and speed, and the entire airframe had to be built around the oddly shaped exhaust ducts.
I think you are confusing stealth with invisibility.
