I kind of agree with you. It may not read the way she intended it to sound, but it comes across as her being unwilling to meet someone half-way. Relationships take work on both sides. Like if I were to say “well no one’s stepping up to date me,” and never made an effort to go out to meet anyone...it’s not happening.
