I think she gets to call HER cancer whatever she likes. She doesn’t owe to other people to be sick the way they approve. She has her experience, your friend has hers, other people have theirs. And talking about HER experience doesn’t in no way makes her responsible for other people expectations or their lack of empathy.

agreed. i find myself getting really annoyed with her sometimes and her writing can completely miss the mark, but she’s a really good writer.

In before this comment section gets loaded down with people who hate Wurtzel. Welp, I love her. Not everything she writes is a win (that NYMag piece a few years back was pretty terrible), but when she’s good, she is great. Bitch was awesome (where she was the only, and I mean the ONLY feminist who tried to defend Amy

That's blackface.

Yea... That's straight up silver. Robot face?

I don’t remember black people being so shiny and vapid.

I'm white, but that doesn't look like blackface to me...?

I am 20 and my mom is 45 and I can say with the upmost confidence that she knows a helluva lot more about modern technology and the internet than I do.

I moved from the West Coast to the sad middle of America. People decide they are old here by 30. Barf.

I just saw the thing about eating clay and was like “oh fuuuuuuck, now a bunch of girls are gonna start eating dirt”

I can see this in some ways. Example being VS Angels. They’re jackpots of genetic beauty (or at least as society currently dictates) and I’m sure if someone were predisposed in the same way they’d at least consider that line of work, whether it’s temporary or as a career or even if they decide against it entirely.

Yes, but it is also self-selecting. As in, if you are genetically blessed with a high metabolism/are naturally thin, you might gravitate more towards that line of work? I’m sure both are true, I’m not sure there’s ever going to be a way to quantify it, either way.

Is he a 100% sure that that was Michael Jackson making those prank calls and not someone else pretending to be Michael Jackson making prank calls? Because the latter possibility really sounds like something I would have done as a child.

I found this little gem,

The character also has the stunning good luck of being portrayed by Kiernan Shipka, who acts circles around most of the people she shares scenes with and is just overall dynamite.

I was recently re-watching Mad Men, and found myself really drawn to Sally Draper's storyline-for a lot of the reasons you mentioned.

and all that saltiness? So far, I'm on team #dryjeans

Do people that live on coasts really go through the water in jeans as is so often depicted?

Has this actually been confirmed by Angelina or Brad, or is it just a rumor? And is this child maybe a bit young to be officially considered trans/queer/non-gender-confirming? Maybe she is, or maybe she's just going through a phase like a lot of kids do.

Do we have confirmation on that? I know it was said in an interview a few years ago that Shiloh was obsessed with Peter Pan and wanted to be called John but do we know if this is still the case?
