The whole swimming off of the island felt a little hokey. And I don’t know if they quite sold me that Ellie would have been manipulated that easy to becoming an islander, especially with the amount of shit going down. Her relationship with her mother was a little strained but I felt she knew her mom had her best

I thought something different in regards to the color choice-

I’m so relieved Ji-ah lived. Everything else in the finale went pretty much as expected (although I hated Diana becoming a killer in such a young age but I’m all for the adventures of a Cyborg Girl and Black Shoggoth). But Ji-ah dying was my biggest fear about the finale. I was afraid of them using a trope that

I had completely forgotten about Stargate Universe. Wow. I really think that they missed their audience with that one, because it was incredible, but no one knew about it.

Rubicon comes to mind, or was it a cliffhanger? I don’t really remember, I just remember that I liked the show, should do a rewatch.

Everything Carnivàle.

I wasn’t massive on this one either, for a lot of the stated reasons and some others. It really could have been safely half the length it was (we see the cliffhanger of Viola grabbing Dani no less than three times in two episodes! I get it’s a good scare, but c’mon, really?!). The basic explanation of Viola’s gravity

Dexter’s in the USA Pacific Northwest killing serial killers again. It’s not that difficult as 80% of all lumberjacks are serial killers in hiding.

This is my favorite episode so far. When Helen said Sam is sick (or maybe she said ill) I thought that may be an explanation of his non-drug induced hallucinations in the first three episodes; that they might be on-going symptoms of a mental health issue? She did say this isn’t the first time he’s done this before, so

I loved this episode as well, this is an amazing series. I think Helen is correct, that things are not necessarily good or bad, they just are. I hope she isn’t converted to join the cult in the end. It takes a certain amount of faith in oneself to face the reality of things and still carry on each day, which Helen

Well, I ended up watching the entire 90 minutes, and it makes me miss the show more than ever. My room got dusty quite a few times among all the laughs.

yeah it’s pretty wild reading about all these shows being canceled retroactively while also reading reports of, like, a ‘the boys’ spinoff getting greenlit and looking at BTS footage of jurassic park, mission impossible and batman being filmed*

So, that’s...three majority woman-led shows that got the ax after being renewed? Is that what I’m reading?

Though they really should have.

Props to HBO for giving this and so many other unusual shows* an opportunity to be seen. I enjoyed the hell out of the first three episodes, and I’m glad to read that the second half of the series is off to a good start.

A continuously underrated, underused actor. Good for him!

Heh. Aenys.

“Daenerys’ creep-ass older brother, who was definitely not warm or kind or decent”

Obligatory:

I don't think Chris Rock needs to be menacing. He's doing a good job of selling that he's the smartest guy in the room and that he's tired of all this gangster nonsense.
