Steam is functional... sure it doesn't look pretty, but if it ain't broke, why fix it? It's not like the UI is hindering sales, right? I think they really want to push people more towards big picture mode anyway.
Please not another Brink :(
Holy crap. DO WANT.
It's important to remember that Valve didn't come out with these; they're 3rd party computers. Valve has nothing to do with them other than a) the OS and b) their logo on the front :P
i wish i MADE 20k a year
I didn't think I would, but I *REALLY* enjoyed FC3 and Blood Dragon. The outpost capturing mechanic was fantastic. Can't wait for the next one, or a longer Blood Dragon - that game was genius!
I don't see it as a niche product really, except the high-end systems, but still, it's the low end they really need to push. I can't see a lot of people lining up to drop 1K+ on one of these, especially the current console crowd... If they were that hyped on PC gaming, they'd likely already have one, since there's…
Kids will always be, and be victims of bullying. I support this bittersweet nonprofit because it will help them later in life, once they reach college where bullying is (hopefully) less of a factor they will have an easier time navigating life on a more level playing field.
These mfg's need to understand that it will mainly be people new to PC's buying these. Veteran PC gamers will likely continue to build their own. They need to focus on entry level systems at the current console price point.
PC gamers aren't expected to buy it. The system is completely targeted at giving console players access to new games without changing how they normally experience gaming. I'm sure many console only gamers are intimidated by the cost and hassle of picking a PC, this is there to help them transition. It's doubtful…
They're just PC's, probably built to order anyway, not mass produced like the Ouya
game sales.
So you're saying my statement is false?
No, it's because they rush to rush their guns without thinking. There are many responsible gun owners all over the world; it's the feeling that they have a justified right to pull one out in an argument that's the issue.
it comes down to 2 things - the first is that GabeN hates Windows, so the Steam OS will allow people the option of using a free OS and save $100 that you could use on better hardware.
The second is how the actual OS works, more direct access to the hardware with better drivers, optimized for gaming, potentially…
I pre-ordered New Vegas, collectors edition. I was very pleased. A little disappointed that the price has come down so much, but I still enjoyed playing it day 1. Same with Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I forgot about Defiance... I pre-ordered that crap too. I will only pre-order the next Fallout, everything else,…
Oh snap, I didn't care about this until I saw Major Lazer. Suuhweeet!
AMgelina?
My thoughts exactly... Why would anyone want to hurt steam? It's like picking a fight with the one cool teacher at high-school
