It’s not like there’s a scale for offensive——not offensive. These ads are made for (or ostensibly aimed at, since in this case it failed locally as well) people who are bothered by different things than we are. There are ads that you COULDN’T run in Asia in a million years that we wouldn’t bat an eye about.
