The power dynamic is the real crime here and should be the focus.

Oh yeah, I agree with that notion completely. But we also need to get some common sense about our sex laws. Whether we like it or not, 16 year olds fuck a LOT. We just hope they fuck other 16 year olds, but a lot of time they don't. Our laws about that sort of thing aren't very common sense at all. In Louisiana,

I'm not going to sit here and gush about her album, because 1. I haven't listened to the whole thing and 2. The few songs I've heard just aren't my jam, sorry, but she gets mad points from me for scrolling the names of over 1,000 missing and murdered Canadian Aboriginal women behind her during her performance. Our

I dig it. Seal hunting rubs a lot of people the wrong way on account of how cute seals are, but they're not endangered, and they put a lot of strain on fish stocks, some of which are in more danger. If you're going to eat a cow, it's really not that big a deal to eat a seal.

Plus, all the more inhumane seal hunting

Thanks, Isha - Tanya Tagaq is super cool!

I like her and think she's hilarious. I think, though, that older demographics are the ones that are especially likely to watch televised broadcasts of late night shows and I get the vibe that older people just do not like her. Shame.

I like her.

I know she's one of those people you either love or hate, but her short-lived talk show on Bravo about a year ago was actually pretty good. She was toned down a bit and seemed to be able to actually converse with her guests (as opposed to just asking them pointed questions from a note card).

I watch exactly 2 shows on television. The Daily Show and The Newsroom... but i would watch Kathy Griffin on late night. I love that she is indiscriminate in who she jokes about. Including herself. She's hilarious live.

I also feel this is a step down for Stephen. Colbert Report is iconic. Hosting a late night talk show that I KNOW I'll never watch is a promotion in finance only. It's just like WHY?!

OMFG! It took a whole 44 minutes for a post insulting KG's appearance! I think that's a record for holding off. Progress, people. Progress.

Totally agree. I personally find her really funny, but I can understand why she's not to everyone's taste. But her advocacy for women (and the LGBT community, for that matter) and refusal to put up with stupid bullshit is desperately needed.

The original AP article is terribly deceiving, because it never states where Kathy said these things and makes it appear is if it was an interview conducted by them; I am almost 95% sure they got the story (verbatim) from Marc Maron's podcast and they are shady enough to never mention their source. This pisses me off

Same difference. They're all literally the same.

I agree. I don't want to watch him ask semi famous people about their crappy movies, tv shows etc.

I really feel like The Tonight Show is a huge step down for Colbert. He's able to do some really cool stuff on the Colbert Show and it sucks he's taken a position where we lose that amazing persona and gain a toothless version of his comedy. I don't like it at all.

I know it's important to have a strong woman presence in.. well, pretty much all facets of life, including that of late night talk shows. But on the other hand, I feel like late night talk shows are where comedians go to die. Jay Leno was once known as one of the best stand-up acts, for crying out loud. And is there

I didn't know who French Montana was until his dust-up with Tichina Arnold.

Khloe. Girl, you can do better.

Every writer I've loved at jezebel is now gone. And these new kids just aren't cutting it for me.
