If I saw anyone carrying a large dog like that I would immediately rush over to support the dog from underneath. That looks painful. I would never even pick up my 30 lb top heavy dog like that because it could hurt them. I get that it was a sweet spontaneous gesture but I think best friends of vets should know better.
