It’s not better. Drones are full of problems and major limitations for this sort of thing.

There’s no reason you can’t have small, automated, electric powered delivery vehicles the size of a motorcycle or golf cart. They can carry more than 50 drones could and for much further. And since they’d be cheap, you could have 5 or more for the cost of one big truck so multiple deliveries to an area in a day would…

The drones are a gimmick.

The noise is bad. These things would have to be designed for efficiency, not noise. Even then they’re horribly impractical for this use for a whole host of reasons.

I’ve heard UPS trucks. I’ve heard drones. Drones are far worse.

Impractical outside of some limited use cases.
