Everyone tries to avoid any envelope delivered by a process server. If they see them coming, they’ll do anything to avoid being handed or taking said envelopes. Process servers have to be deceitful and sneaky in their delivery. It happens more often than people think.

Process servers deliver anytime, anywhere the person receiving such documents is at. I mean, it’s inconvenient anywhere you get served court papers. BUT you’d be surprised by how many people dodge and avoid process servers. Is the timing suspicious? Of course. But still...gotta serve them papers when you can.
