Wasn't specifically at the game, and the rich bumpkins who paid $2,500 for lower bowl seats sort of ruined things by doing the freaking WAVE in the 4th quarter, but you could feel the electricity in Oakland tonight. The whole town just had a buzz about it. Loved every second of it.

T-Mac reached an insane peak for one season in the middle of a pretty great prime. He would probably be considered on the level of Kobe is he could have won a few championships (thus taking a few away from Kobe). He just had terrible luck with finding a healthy team to lead.

And then the rest of us will mention that he is a rapist.

He’s clearly just flopping. Those silly soccer players.

You can also argue that, if you replaced Kobe with Tracy McGrady on those Shaq teams, they still would have won those 3 titles and they would have stuck together. For me, Kobe’s legacy will always be as an asshole first, great player second.

I can expand on it.

Overrated shooter and maybe the most overrated defender of the past 20 years. They wanted him to be so, so, so much better and more impactful than he actually was. Good scorer, on a team built to let him shoot 20 times a game, but in an era that was increasingly about good scorers playing the same general 2-3 role,

Kareem is the best Laker.

Not a basketball fan at all, but I was thinking the same thing. The Cavs were a missed LeBron shot in Game 1 from being up 3-0 in that series. Obviously the Warriors are a better team this year, and the Cavs are in a bit of disarray, but to count them out so completely seems a little crazy.

The game was historic on two counts—the Warriors tied the wins record, and it was the first time a sitting NBA commissioner showed up with a shotgun to receive a home team’s injury report in person.

Sure but would this season be just as entertaining without Spurs being this great as well? I mean, the Spurs broke the Bull’s home record.

Thank you, Golden State, for making the NBA a more entertaining game on the whole this year. I can’t remember the last time I actually cared about NBA goings on for an entire season like this before.

There’s no appreciation quite like loathing.

Two more stats/records broken with this win:

Warriors 3-1 in season series. The loss, like tonight, was also on a back to back with no Andre, bogut, or ezeli.

You have no idea how abusive the competitive horse world is. You think they’re well treated? Horses aren’t done developing soft tissue in their joints until they’re past 5 years old. How old are the horses that race? They’re unable to live comfortable lives after their (very short) careers due to the damage done to

But horses would still exist though, right? That would be like arguing Yao Ming wouldn’t exist in defense of abusing Chinese basketball players.

I’m not sure ‘we only raised these horses to brutally risk their lives’ is a strong argument for it.

Now that the Triple Crown happened, I thought we all agreed to ignore horse racing, for the sake of our consciences.

Asked about his knowledge of the science of concussions, Arians said, “I’m pretty well red.”
