I am not a custom car mechanic and I have not worked on a ford 2.3 L since about 1988. Why are there 2 air intakes/filters? A cone by the Radiator and another back by the firewall?

I’ve heard about this issue a couple of times today, but no article has bothered to fully articulate the problem other than “dodgy deals were made”.
This article goes on and on and never really details what the sponsorship issue actually is. Oh, they filmed here, then there was a strike, which is over, none of which is relevant to the story.
No Christmas Vacation? No Die Hard?
He was probably just late to read Uncle Mo’s eulogy.
Let me add Die Hard on Hulu
Of course they charged you, what were you thinking? You’re supposed to fill up your briefcase and put a lil gas in your pockets to top it up, ya know, for the road!
Reminds me of the time I filled up a rental I had to return it full, like I was supposed to. Then drove the 15 miles to the rental return place and was charged like $30 for not returning it with a full tank. 🙄
Now they make you pay extra for feet.
So that $24M is just sunk costs?
Hang your horses there, bud. Not all of us are good with the book learnin’.
way of the road, bubs
What’s a GMC Safari then? How about a Jeep XJ? Fifth gen Ford Explorer? Heck, sixth (current) gen Explorer? Modern Range Rovers? Current Land Rover Defender?
Victim blaming. They shouldn’t have to do Hertz’s job for them. All on Hertz. They didn’t reserve a Tesla, if Hertz was going to force one on them, they should have trained them as well. Not everyone knows as much about cars as the readership here does, and they shouldn’t be expected to.
I pretty much agree with you here, but the other problem that nobody seems to address is the fact that a lot of new cars, mostly EVs, have changed the basic use of their vehicles. Everyone knows how to hop in an older ICE vehicle, put it in gear, and use all the things required to drive (wipers, turn signals, HVAC).…
I really think this has been the single largest complete fuck up by a major automaker in recent history, even over Dieselgate.
