I know you’re Jalopnik’s #1 Tesla stan but even you have to admit the company isn’t exactly trustworthy. Especially considering how they lied about recordings remaining anonymous.

Or, for that matter, smiling or laughing!

Hailing from London, Cox is presumably unused to such applause.”

Jack Warner could be one nasty sonofabitch (the story of him basically swindling his brothers out of their own company is legendary), but overall the guy’s studio consistently cranked out some pretty good movies. He also was pretty up front about the kind of guy he was.

This is a very weird thing to bitch about. Are we now all suddenly anti-woke at Jez or something? This is how diversity hiring practices are supposed to work and worked ideally by giving an enormous talent their big break.

Technically, it sounds like Fey said she hired him because he was free from a budget perspective. Now, he was “free” because of his race.

If it had been purely on resume, some kid in college is likely going to lose to anyone with established experience regardless of race.

So the initiative allowed Fey to take a flier on

I’m getting too old for this ... oh wait, no. Same name, no relation.

NBC had a diversity initiative that offered financial incentives to hire minorities, so the show saved money by hiring a relative unknown who otherwise might not have got the opportunity. From what I understand he had sent writing samples to Miner and they were impressed. And he shared a WGA award for his work. So

25 years ago, Warner Brothers’ 75th anniversary was a triumph. They created a traveling week-long film festival featuring films from specific decades each day. Look at this lineup:

The article hints at some kind of animosity - despite the actor saying the exact opposite - and also even states that this isn’t actual news, and was already known, publicly available information.

Wait, isn’t this how diversity initiatives are SUPPOSED to work? He was given an opportunity that he might have been otherwise passed over for, and it opened doors for him to become immensely successful. Is Jezebel against diversity initiatives now?

Ideally it doesn’t in any way capture the real DnD experience.

It seems crazy that no one seems to have actually seen it which probably didn’t help.

No game today and it might hit 50 on Sunday.  They don’t have a home game until Thursday.

This, well said! And people act like the lithium is burned up in an EV as fast as petroleum is.

Such drama. We’re incredibly early in the EV adoption process. I bet there were people in 1923 who wouldn’t be able to imagine a world built around the internal combustion engine. “Who’s gonna make millions of miles of paved roads? You? And oil? Good Lord, there isn’t enough oil in the earth’s crust to fuel a billion

The fact you had to make up a quote to respond proves you didn’t have anything to work with.

I’m not sure what’s so cringey about Gov. Whitmer’s statement. It is a BFD, and she’s been a great leader for Michigan. I look forward to seeing her on the national stage politically in the future.

Honor Among Thieves is a big fun movie that doesn’t take itself too seriously. You can tell the actors were all having fun in their roles. It feels like an actual D&D adventure. 4/5 owlbears

Saw this with the family at the Amazon Prime early screening. We all loved it, even my 9-year old daughter who seems to want to dislike everything on principle. The movie had some Guardians of the Galaxy/Princess Bride vibes and anyone who likes those movies would find things to enjoy with this film as well - having D&
