As a milennial, I might get in trouble for mentioning this, but we are actually meeting late next week to discuss new ways to fuck that up.

Clearly, most people who use the phrase “vote with your wallet” really mean “shut up and don't say anything that challenges my worldview”. Why shouldn’t people inform others of issues they care about that could impact purchasing decisions? Why are people so threatened by others sharing info that isn’t disputed.

It’s a generic military mmo. The lore doesn’t matter a bit.

What a shit comparison. Escape from Tarkov uses human avatars that you choose from to represent you. It’s not a narrative character. It’s hardly comparable to a game with a narrative character who fits in the story a specific way.

What we do know is the game creators claim there is a lore reason for this situation but provide no lore from their game to prove such an assertion. Either they’re trolling people, incompetent or too lazy to look up something that should be easy to provide if it actually existed before today. Even in this day and age

Who is demanding anything? It’s valid to ask them to make a change just like it’s valid to ask Blizzard to nerf so and so hero or to ask Bungie to adjust Eververse.

Because it’s entirely ridiculous and entitled.

Wanting equal representation isn’t about politics, it’s about people wanting to be involved with all of the world has to offer from a perspective that they can relate to. It’s an easy thing to miss when the world is, by default, designed for your gender, sexuality and race. I can understand a game company saying we

Being all mealymouthed about it makes it worse, a lot worse as I’m sure they are discovering. PR speak and ‘but, but our lore!?!’ didn’t fly two years ago and it damned well doesn’t now.

I mean just say you ‘Don’t want to add women in.’ just...just fucking say it. Because saying ‘Game lore’ is a bullshit reason. You’re going to get shit either way so just be honest.

When you factor in the boob physics, hip sway, seductive walk, playful giggles when sneaking, sexually charged moans when taking damage, make-up application animations, entirely new costumes and outfits that all show off midriff/cleavage/thighs, and a host of other problems it’s painfully clear how much extra work

They made their decision and it was a bad decision.

1. Sometimes you only find out after an article is published, so hopefully the implication shouldn’t be that reporting on this isn’t worthwhile.

Gamers still only recognize two genders:

On the other hand, don’t demand that a developer change or edit their game after release to align with your politics and get riled up when they don’t want to.

Is your point directed at this author? Because I didn’t see any place in the article that demanded BSG do anything. In fact, the article seems to jive with your articulated method for consumers to enact change - the article states that BSG can’t/won’t/doesn’t want to add female characters; consumers can read the

Hey remember when ubisoft made this excuse about assassin's creed unity a few years ago and it was immediately proven to be bullshit?

I’m a man, and I don’t play anything that doesn’t have female characters. And I was thinking about buying Tarkov.

Don’t forget that according to current tax law (and previous, this is not a political post) A company can write off 100% of the value of a vehicle in a single year if it has a 6,000+lb GVRW. You have to be in full size territory for this. Private equity guys can do this just as easily as plumbers.

We’re also rude, you jackass.
