Except an old school HiLux.  They beat everything.

That’s not a production vehicle. It’s experimental, was built in 2013, has 94 HP, and has a range of 50 miles.

I should be more like my neighbor on this subject he can run on gas, diesel, and CNG. Im sure if EOD came to be he could start it with a rope ripcord on the crankshaft pulley.

That may be true and all, but there is nothing that beats goats in pajamas.

You’re right.

Electric cars can wade super deep because there’s no air intake to worry about.

Honestly, it would be a nice demonstration of concept for somebody like VW to create a production electric vehicle; a hybrid maybe, which COULD actually do the stuff a HiLux does. You might really make a dent in third world emissions if you did.

It is a characteristic of the electric fanboi to pretend not to understand, and then reply with some tangential factoid which doesn’t really have bearing on the original question.

Watch what happens. They’ll come back with more stupid.  Just wait.

I don’t see how any of your logic fits together in any way.

Did you see the moron fanboys rush in to defend their stupidity?

Well according to all the InterWeb experts, we aren’t need no HiLux’s, because duh, everthing must be electric cars now!

Not many trucks have an entire war named after them.

I’m just running a hunch here, but I think so.

It’s almost like.. capitalism doesn’t work at all without government supervision and regulation.. I wonder if there is a theory about that. In academia. Or books somewhere.

Right. The Market isn’t fixing Takata. Lawsuits are. So therefore The Market isn’t the force that is creating the change. Lawsuits are. The response of The Market is only derivative of the input from government, mathematically.

Meh who cares what someone who won’t even leave their real handle thinks...

Where you went wrong, is being wrong:

Well, if the contracts are being canceled because of the fear of lawsuits associated with this tainted company, then it isn’t actually capitalism that is fixing the problem, but that Knasty ol’ Socialism Gubbermint what is doing the killing.
