so, making a stand against people who ruin the (good) pop culture you grew up with is now considered as “soft-sexism”? please, don’t write any more articles, thank you.

It should if you have half a brain. He’s a person, his name is James Rolfe. The author wasn’t pointing out his skin color as just an observation, there was an agenda behind mentioning it, and that’s wrong to do, no matter what color someone’s skin is.
I’ve been watching James for his entire ten year run. I’ve watched everything he puts out, Monster Madness, Board James, James and Mike Mondays, and even the horror films he made when he was a kid. After a decade I still get super excited when I see a new AVGN video in my feed, and have a viewing party with my friends…
It’s obvious this writer is only interested in stating their position on the Ghostbusters thing, but shrouded it with writing a history of James Rolfe. Anybody with a brain can see that.
Oh, please. The “complicated legacy of the AVGN” = “we here at Gawker are so deep in the tank over the girl Ghostbusters movie that we can’t even.”
Like the dumbshits that think “lmao” is a word?
I love AVGN, but I wish his other/better series got more attention. Board James was brilliant.
“I don’t like his opinions therefore he’s bigoted”
This is a great and healthy way to view the world.
I dislike the “angry young white douchebag nerd reviewer” shtick that has proliferated through YouTube like cancer. I don’t like people who get worked up over disposable corporate culture. But I still like the AVGN because he was one of the first, he was funny and you could tell that it’s a persona he is taking on.
I thought this was gonna be a article about the history of AVGN , then i scrolled down and saw half the page full of his Ghostbuster sequel videos,
I love AVGN. Mostly just the AVGN videos but sometimes I watch the Mike and Matt Mondays. I’m a subscriber but I don’t watch everything everyone that I subscribe to puts out. That’s an option. I didn’t know he made a statement about the new Ghostbusters movie but I don’t see anything inherently wrong with saying it’s…
I like how you're making race an issue by repeatedly pointing out that he's white.
I think players in general are taking this PotG thing too seriously. It’s a canned algorithm and therefore can never be perfect. It will not always capture the real defining moment of the game. It’s more for entertainment value once a game has ended.
there’s been a lot of ‘i’m not appreciated enough in this game’ posts lately. are you kotaku folks ok?
You can even see him still holding his face in the background during McCann’s trot.
I see no problem?
No white guys? Shouldn’t we be getting all upset?
She killed a man over a video game system because he resisted when they tried to rob him.
Murder isn’t some “oh well, kids will be kids” mistake like smoking pot behind the bleachers. She made a conscious choice to take an innocent man’s life.
I sit in a dark room all day drafting compliants, motions, demands, etc. So I’m aware that legal writing is different than blogging, but shit man you write like a high schooler with a thesaurus next to him.
