One of the few things I would laugh about if we wind up with a President Hawley/Carlson/Trump Jr. in 2024 because they manage to actually turn the GOP into the party of uneducated fuckwits of all races instead of just white people (this being what Greenwald, Taibbi, Shitrota et. al are predicting unless Democrats

Hahaha .... no.

I put even odds on Glenn Greenwald and Tucker Carlson doing a segment asserting that the undercover FBI agent entrapped these guys who would never have actually put together a real plot to kidnap Whitmer without goading by Deep State FBI types.

Not only is it an issue of “who wants the job” it’s also an issue of “who will enough of the party accept that enough of the caucus will get behind them in private to force the rest of the caucus to agree in public” and unite to actually win the formal vote.

One saving grace of streaming over cable is that none of them have contracts and for the most part it just takes a few clicks to cancel. They don’t do you dirty and make you call customer service, and get transferred to the retention department where someone harangues you for 20 minutes with teaser deals to try and

Cruise the human being does suck, but Cruise the actor trying to do his job is like a series of those maximum effort moments in super hero movies distilled into human being form.  He takes that shit seriously.

Oh I think he’d crush him, but he wouldn’t snap his leg. Who knows what that bozo thinks about his future fighting career, but if he’s taking a gimmick match, it’s for a pay day and he’s not going to ruin the future possibility for that.

“Average” in world class competition against someone who’s never done it in their entire professional career would indeed mean that the fight would be over quickly.

Why have those policies?

Just, playing for immersion here for a minute, in a cyberpunk world that’s had a bunch of corporate wars, I think it actually makes sense you wouldn’t recognize any of the logos 5 decades on. It’s basically a world with a bunch of Blackwaters in it. After Blackwater had it’s big killing civilians debacle in 2007, it

Hopefully they can fix it for base console folks.

Although Cardi B has at times shown herself to have more sense than many of her peers

Probably. Men like Toobin always get infinity-chances

I would be remiss in my duties as a Souls vet if I didn’t offer one last piece of advice that all Souls vets must offer to newcomers.

Just make sure you know where you are at on the bridge.  There are a few spots where the railing is out so you can roll right off the edge if you are counting on it as a backstop when you back up.

And unlike Toobin, who still has myriad movie deals and CNN to fall back on, most of us cannot financially afford to lose our jobs.

Another tip is to not be afraid of running the Burg a bunch of times and buying lots of fire bombs at the vendor (if you’ve found the vendor in the level). They let you hit him from out of ranch of his sweeps (but not his lunge).

I doubt it. McGregor wants as many of these gimmicky paydays as he can get. Think of how little he really has to train for this fight. If he breaks Paul’s leg or seriously hurts him, no other celebrity “amateur” fighters who might be a reasonable pay-per-view draw will fight him.

You’re thinking of the Capra Demon. Taurus Demon is the bridge boss. Dude’s got the beginning of the fight down, it’s the part after you do that where it gets tricky. For me, the key was learning not to get wedged between the Taurus Demon and the edge of the bridge. You’re toast if you do. Face up to him, back dodge

Dark Souls II is different. That can be good or bad depending. It’s unique in a lot of ways. The gameplay is different, but the overall feel and vibe of the game is different.  You can still tell it’s a Souls game, but it’s just weird, and I recommend it because it’s a good, intriguing kind of weird.
