“Mistaken identity”... are you referring to the person actively fleeing the police? I don’t think it’s that hard to figure out who the suspect is.

I’m in agreement. And I say this as another fellow motorcyclist. I lost a bike last year to a thief.

They often use stolen bikes / scooters to commit other crimes.
