The replies here are great examples of the ridiculousness. I was a little kid when the first Star Wars came out, and it was amazing, revolutionary, and we all saw it multiple times.

I just want them to bring back the notification LED.
Whatever you think of scooters and e-bikes as a mode of transport, how can anyone feel good about the lifespan of these? E-scooters have a lifespan of about ONE MONTH, then they are trashed. How is this remotely good for the environment?
The best investment I made was an electric blanket with separate controls for each side. We make a joke out of who has theirs set to what. Cost was $50, have had it for 5 years, and have saved FAR more than that on not turning on heat for the whole house to heat one room for 8 hours a day.
I fail to see how all your discussion argues against the point I made that her job is NOT to insert her own personal opinions into her work product.
I wish it was realized that this IS one of the biggest flaws. When the “jury by one’s peers” originated (like near the Magna Carta?), virtually all evidence was what someone saw or what someone heard, which nearly everyone can understand. Now evidence is far more complicated, and it concerns me that many jurors…
So what? If you have had a bad experience with your cable company and can’t separate that from deciding whether it is their fault what people do on their “pipes”, then you shouldn’t be a juror.
“A Virginia jury” is all you need to know here. Not Virginia necessarily, but juries are too often littered with people who can’t even remotely understand the facts presented to them.
Interesting how “that sex is immutable and that “men cannot become women” is seen as a “shitty thing” to say by you.
And the people who put those notices there have a JOB that says that what they should do, moist likely HR. She is NOT in HR, and she should not insert her personal feelings unrelated to her actual job within the company into her work product. Period.
It’s amazing that you took all those words to try to defend something which is indefensible.
Organizing on company time and INSERTING CODE into company software to push an activist position are not even remotely the same thing.
She inserted CODE into company software designed to push an activist position AGAINST the company.
Even if you see it that way, inserting CODE into company software that pushes ANY sort of activism would seem to be a firing offense, no?
It was within 10 years. You do know that you need to BUILD a place for them to work before they can be hired, right?
Yes, because an advertising office with 1500 people is the same as a SECOND HEADQUARTERS (main headquarters: 45,000 employees) with 25,000 employees.
Right?? I have a stack, and I leave the washer door open when the dryer runs and then close it when I go to get the clothes from the dryer. Never an issue.
I’m an atheist but even so, I hope I never accidentally say “God bless you” to you should you sneeze. FFS, you’re an asshole.
Super interesting, but I guess I see it as far more simple than that:
Of course, being California, they likely would have been sued for NOT keeping the grass mowed as well, so there’s that. :)
