Are you fucking kidding? Since when are “public figures” (if you can even call athletes that; they aren’t politicians after all, but just happen to play a GAME people watch) required to acquiesce to whatever a journalist wants to ask?

Agreed, and that’s because for too many “journalists”, the ANSWER isn’t the goal: the goal is to merely ask the QUESTION to get a reaction. In my original example, do journalists jamming a mic in the phase of someone after a tragedy REALLY want to know how that person feels? Hardly.
How many consecutive times, in your opinion, should someone have to say “I’m not talking about that” before giving up whether the interviewer is going to stop asking about it? In this case, he gave up on the third try. Punt on fourth.
You mean “journalists” caring more about getting the story than actual people? Yes, that side of the equation is quite similar for both even if the other side of the equation is not.
...Simply say “no comment”...
It used to be that the only reporters that didn’t suck were sports reporters, but now they are now no different than the garbage humans who stuff a microphone in people’s faces right after a tragedy to get “the reaction shot”. If someone says they don’t want to talk about something, then move on to another topic, FFS.
Serious question: Is quoting someone else’s racist remark a “racist remark”? When I first saw the headlines I assume he straight up called someone the N-word in a conference call, only to find out the headlines in no way matched reality. Thoughts?
Sp punishing someone for something their Dad said before they were born seems like a good idea to you? I guess you are a fan of the North Korean “Three Generations Rule”?
Nice of her to not only lie about it and attack the victim, but also blame her dead boyfriend for the payoff.
So some people (NOT Japanese people) consider wearing a kimono to be cultural appropriation, but are just fine telling other cultures the right way to live and what is wrong with their culture.
RULE: Tackle using your hands and arms.
How does the fact that Argento sexually assaulted this man negate the fact that Weinstein sexually assaulted her? Both can be true.
...(which Jezebel sat on for days and then wrote a piece with none of its usual flippancy and rage)...
You almost sound like you are blaming her actions on Harvey Weinstein.
So I guess none of the Jezebel writers who regularly cover #metoo stories wanted to touch this one?
I hurt my neck by towel-drying my hair too vigorously. Was jacked up for a month.
Thanks!
Which app do you use on your Fenix? I just got one and am getting it setup.
Have most people seen the context of what he did? I finally looked it up after another article weeks ago, and was a bit surprised at the story, which did not in any match the headlines. Thoughts?
How do you see this as “edgy”? Did you read the article or just the clickbait headline?
